Jonathan C. Walls – Doomed Designer/Printing Pontiff
Jonathan C. Walls has just graduated from UNA and is our new designer/get it done or else person! He is filling in while Megean is out on maternity leave. And he’s getting married soon so I’m not sure what the owner is thinking hiring someone who is getting married to replace the one out having a baby. Jonathan is a “print man” by history but we’re trying to brainwash him, I mean retrain him to get that print state of mind on the back burner and have him developing the websites correctly for web 2.0 and beyond standards. Well Jonathan step up and let everyone know about yourself:
After escaping *cough* …graduating… from the University of North Alabama I set out with high hopes to find my dream job as a Graphic/ Web Designer. I soon discovered that it would not be as easy as I first thought, but I promised myself I wouldn’t give up hope. After giving up hope several weeks later, my phone rang…who could it be…it was someone looking for Mary. I told them that Mary didn’t live there and that they had the wrong number. A few days later my phone rang again and it was Scotty offering me a job at UnlocktheWeb. I told him that Mary didn’t live there and that he had the wrong number, but then I realized what he was saying and gladly accepted his offer. And now here I am at UnlocktheWeb having a blast…and wondering if they ever found Mary.
Megean Ledbetter - Graphics Chic/Browser Bruiser
Megean Ledbetter came to work with UnlocktheWeb.com in 2008 as a junior developer/designer. We quickly found out that she really knew her stuff. She is very proficient in browser compatibility, style sheets, and website integration from Photoshop to the web. She always makes sure and check all our websites in Opera, Firefox, IE, Safari, and other major browsers. She's a die hard Alabama fan - can't help that. She graduated from University of Alabama with a Bachelors degree and she owes for student loans like crazy. So we need more work to pay her more so she can get out of debt and take care of her kids. Go ahead Meg:
Upon graduating from the University of Alabama in May of 2008, my search for the perfect job began. After two solid months of searching, I found myself at the doorstep of UnlocktheWeb. I immediately realized that this would be the best place for me to further develop my skills and grow as a graphic designer/web developer.
Chasty Manning - Office Optimist/Update Maker
Chasty Kerby Manning came to work for UnlocktheWeb.com in 2007 as a "WE REALLY GOTTA HAVE SOMEBODY CAN YOU PLEASE COME TO WORK FOR US??"/ office manager. In the past years she has really come full circle and has become proficient in Dreamweaver and hard codes 99% of all our website forms. She is also the office bulldog that makes sure all our contracts and billing is kept up to date. Now a few words from our sponsors...I mean Chasty:
Hello, when I first come to work for UnlocktheWeb I was very reluctant about what I was getting myself into, but I have since come to have an understanding of the company and made a place for myself here. There are always new things to learn and that is what makes this career choice very interesting. I try to stay on top of things and keep things in order as much as possible! Although, some days that is much easier said than done!!!
Angel Baker - Graphics Guru/Website Wizard
Angel Baker is our chief graphics person here at UnlocktheWeb.com. She has been here since its inception and NOTHING goes out the door without her seeing it and putting her own special touch to it. (Meaning if any of us let something go out without her approving it . . . let's just say it won't be pretty!) Angel has designed well over 400 websites, her logo designs are all over the United States, she has laid out complete magazines for companies, and is an Adobe suite genius from Indesign to Illustrator, Photosho to Dreamweaver, and even Flash, PHP & MySQL. Alright Angel, tell the people more about you:
As it stands, I guess I'd be called the "Project Crew Chief". My main responsibilities these days are primarily project management and design. When the need arises, I also do some database programming and website maintenance. I founded UnlocktheWeb.com, along with Scotty, in 2002. Our growth has been astonishing and it is still hard for me not to get involved with every aspect of each project. The truth is, I would rather work quietly in the background paying close attention to the details of our projects (that I hope sets us apart from other companies offering similar services).
In my personal life, Scotty and I have been married for 16 years and we have three awesome boys! Outside of work, I enjoy music (mainly rock, pop and top 40's), dance, writing, movies/TV, and spending time with family and friends.
Scotty Baker- Marketing Madman/Sales Psycho/Owner
Scotty Baker is the owner and knows the chief graphics lady very well! Don't tell anyone, but I think they have something going..............shhhhhhhh! Scotty helped found this company with wife, Angel Baker, in 2002. It started out as a hobby but quickly grew into a full time job. Scotty handles sales and marketing. If you need information on how much a website will cost, what type of marketing you need, who REALLY owns your domain name and that sorta stuff, Scotty is the one to call. Alright Scotty, its your turn. But keep it brief, everyone is tired of reading already!
I'm Scotty Baker. Owner of UnlocktheWeb.com. We offer a full variety of services to fit almost everyone's needs. From simple 5 page websites, to a complete marketing plans including SEO (Search Engine Optimization), billboards, radio ads, and print advertising. Give me a call or drop me an email and I'll have a sit down and we can talk about how UnlocktheWeb.com can assist you and your company. Oh and yes, I have something going with the Chief Graphics lady . . . married in 1993, 3 kids, and YES we can still work together without killing each other (most days).
