Go to www.godaddy.com and check and make sure you own your domain name. It's easy, just type in your domain name, when it comes up, click on it and it will show you the whois information. For those of you who don't have a website yet, use the same link and check availability of your domain. Let's not go getting crazy. Don't put your firstnamemiddlenamelastnamemycompanyname.com in the url. That's WAYYYY too long and too hard to remember. KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) is the way to choose your domain. I could tell you more keys about how to pick a better domain, but I'd have to kill you! Not really, but when you come into our office I'll help you make a few more decisions!
Now that we have your domain name, lets go with a color scheme and a design! Do you want your business to be a more professional look, more of a family look, more of a techno look? That is very important. That will be the catcher when someone comes to your site! Don't want pictures of children on your site and its a retirement facility! We'll get some stock photos for you, don't worry. Just let us know what you're looking for!
How big do you think your website will be? Here's hint, every time you click and it goes somewhere else, that's a new page! So your homepage is 1, Then you have to have a contact page! That makes 2. From here the balls in your court. Think about it and let me know . . . did you think about it? Good, now don't forget testimonials, about your company, history of your company.
